elsewhere, elsewhere

I am sitting here, trying to think of something to write about my experience at Elsewhere, and honestly, I just can't put it into words. When I first walked into Elsewhere, I felt like I'd fallen into someone's weird dream, or maybe that place where all the things in the world that someone has lost end up. But the things in Elsewhere aren't lost, they're kept. Someone thought enough of every single thing in that space enough to keep it around. Every little thing makes up the space. I learned a lot of different things from the time we spent in Elsewhere, things that I don't think I could have learned anywhere else. It is truly an amazing and unbelievable place.
For our final project in 112, we were asked to 'map' each of our own spaces in Elsewhere. I was drawn to the kitchen, full of bright colors and interesting little things to draw, especially the calendar. I loved all the little plates, and how simple and quirky the idea of pinning up days of the month and events seems- it definitely fits with the 'go with the flow' atmosphere.
Overall, I really enjoyed this assignment.
