In class today we talked about scale figures as well as entourage, and we are to include these in our next and re-worked perspectives of our buildings. We are also supposed to find 5 examples and inspirations, so here are mine:

This illustration is by Mattias Adolfsson. This made me laugh a little bit when searching for entourage inspiration, because it is mostly all entourage. I really love the attention to detail there is in this drawing, and I especially love how you can really tell the size and scale of things, even though it is imaginary. Having lots and lots of different sized and spaced figures throughout a very far back imaginary space must be incredibly difficult to do.

These two drawings were featured on the blog Prash Art, and I've fallen in love with this style. In the first one, I am so impressed by how many figures there are, as well as the variations in sizes, shapes, and colors of the people. I love how the figures (and the cute cute cute bicycle!!) in the second are almost blind contours or gesture drawings, really emphasizing a single moment in time throughout the entire piece. I really enjoy how simple every aspect in these drawings are.

This drawing is by Gabi Campanario. I really love his style, and this image has a nice variety of entourage items.. I especially like the dog and the basketball hoop.

This is from Trumpetvine, a sketchblog. I really love her style, and I also really like how lively and happy this drawing feels. This is mostly achieved through the use of color and very little lines, but it still works. My favorite part is the umbrellas.
