first sketchup model

I really enjoyed using SketchUp for the first time... It is extremely easy once you start getting the hang of it! Here are a bunch of different views and styles I was playing around with, including the views that look most like our latest two-point perspective hand drafted drawings.

huge drafting post

Midterm is next week and I really haven't been keeping up with the drafting scans. Here's a bunch of ones we need to have up for review.

orthographic views of "pat's chair"

I enjoyed designing and drawing this table/chair. I did have a lot of issues with the conversion of measurements, and after I made my model and began laying out this drawing on trash paper, I realized a lot of my dimensions were way off. It took some work to fix them, but I worked it out in the end. It was also fun using my new drafting board, and learning a few things about Photoshop when I pieced the two scans of an 18x24 size paper together.

Here you can see photographs of my model.

chair/table/workstation model

This assignment was to use a 1 1/2 inch scale and create a chipboard model of an all-in-one chair/table/workstation. We will be using these models to practice orthographic views as well as other types of drawings in our drafting class.
